CYCLONES REBOUND
Old and new Cyclones combine to
hammer Expos
Oct 6, 2025 - After the previous week
where the Cyclones were without any backup pitchers and win,
lose or draw, Mgr Dean Cosme had no choice but to pitch the
entire game, the Cyclones were once again short on the
pitching side of things. Cosme would have to tow the rubber
again without backup. This time however, he was able to stay
fresh and loose the entire game mostly due to built up
stamina from having pitched complete games each of the past
two weeks. Make it three as Cosme threw another 6 innings in
a runaway 18-4 defeat of the Expos. It was the second
victory over the Expos in the past three weeks.
For the Cyclones though, the game didn't
start out the way they had hoped. Still reeling from
the sting of last week's pounding at the hands of the
Houston Stealth, in the to of the first inning, the Expos
loaded the bases after one out and the next better laced a
deep fly ball to left center field for a bases clearing
double. 3-0 Expos. But the Cyclones would bounce right back
and score 4 runs of their own led by a 2-out, 3-Run Home Run
by longtime Cyclones third baseman BJ Galvan to give the
Cyclones a 4-3 lead they would not relinquish. The Cyclones
would go onto score 18 runs on big days from the
aforementioned Galvan, catcher Juan Zuniga, Jairo Reyes
along with newcomers Chuck Poteet and Blaine Grantham.
