CYCLONES SWEPT AWAY IN DH LOSSES
Cyclones finish regular season with 5
losses for first time since Spring 2022
Dec 8, 2025 - The Cyclones finished
their regular season yesterday by being swept in a long
overdue double header. In game 1, the Houston Royals
defeated the Cyclones 13-11 on a walk-off 2-run HR in the
bottom of the 8th inning off starter Dean Cosme. It was the
first walk-off HR allowed by Cosme in his career.
In Game 2, the Cyclones were left with the
bases loaded and 2 out when the game was called due to
darkness. With the Cyclones down 13-7 at that point, even a
grand slam would not have helped the Cyclones tie or win the
game so the game was called capping a double header loss for
the Cyclones.
Two big 3-run HR by Chad Tineo and Craig
Baser (one in each game respectively) went for naught but
were highlights nonetheless for the Cyclones.
